Performance of Different Varieties of Bougainvilliea (Bougainvillea glabra) Propagated Thgrough Hard Wood Cuttings under Prayagraj Shadenet House Conditions

An experiment to ascertain the performance of different varieties bougainvillea (Bougainvillea glabra Choisy) propagated through hardwood cuttings under 50% shadenet house conditions was carried out from February July, 2022, in Department Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology And Sciences SHUATS, Prayagraj. The laid completely randomized design (CRD), with fourteen varieties, replicated thrice. Among bougainvillea, variety Isbel Green Smith recorded minimum days taken first sprouting (10 days) and (10.3 days), Joe de Libra maximum percentage (96.7%) success rate (96.7%). Length shoot/cutting (3.8 cm) number leaves/cutting (58.9) were Shubra, whereas, Chandraberi girth branch (4.4 cm).
